The debut single is finally here from the indie IT girls, The Seamonsters.
Release Date: 14th April 2017
The Sheffield girl band, formed in 2013 consists of six artistically talented girls, Naomi Mann, Lauren Smith, Holly Thompson, Tassie Drobinski, Ella Taylor and Ciara Hurding. The band describe their sound as ‘catchy guitar riffs with angelic vocals and interesting drum beats’, their whole sound and persona is something idiosynatic that most current indie artists don’t have and that most old indie artists never had; there is just something about these girls that makes them one of a kind.
They also describe themselves to be for ”fans of The Wombats, Black Honey and GLITTER” which I most definitely agree with as you can see influences of artists like The Wombats and Black Honey throughout ‘Lost (And Found)’. As I can imagine these artists and others alike will most likely show influence in later singles to come.
Though as for ‘Lost (And Found)’ I am absolutely in love with everything from the electric sounding beats at the beginning to the angelic voice throughout and the subdued noise towards the end.
