Tanya Burr cosmetics

Hello, I feel as though I haven’t blogged in ages so welcome back! Today I am going to be sharing with you my Tanya Burr Cosmetics collection with some photos and swatches. I will also be giving a little insight into what I think of some of the products. Hope you enjoy X

First off I’ll start off with the discontinued old collection just to get it out of the way. I haven’t included any swatches for here as there is no point as you can’t really get them anymore sadly.

I guess you could probably find these products somewhere on earth but they stopped selling them in superdrug as Tanya brought out a brand new and even better collection. I still find these old products very beautiful but I don’t ever use the lip glosses anymore as that’s a bit manky as I’ve had them for ages but my absolute favourite was ‘Aurora’ it was a gorgeous dark dark pink shade that just complimented everything so well. Also these lip glosses smelt amazing too!

These are my old nail polishes from Tanyas collection. The pink and the blue one have now gone a little manky and I don’t ever use them but I just can’t part with them. I actually fairly recently got the 3 other colours from TK Maxx for cheaper than I would’ve in Superdrug but even though I say recently I mean maybe last April time although it was that long ago you could still check as they may still have them in. My favourite one is the dark purple one in the middle called ‘New York Night’ the colour is absolutely stunning, I love it so so much!!

I shall now get onto the newer products and I am going to show you my pallets. Yet again I am very sorry as one of these palettes are actually discontinued as it was part of the Christmas range and that is the ‘Candy Glam Palette’ hopefully Tanya will bring out another palette like this in the future as it is the most beautiful thing ever! Also I will need a back up after my current one runs out and hits pan.

Here is a little insight to inside the palettes, I don’t actually have individual pictures of them (sorry) as I have already previously talked about the ‘Candy Glam Palette’ in the above paragraph I will only say a little about it here. It consists of 9 beautiful eye shadows for any look, a mini lip gloss in ‘day dream’, a bronzer, a blush and a massive mirror. All of those things make it perfect for travelling as it has almost everything you need and also if you were lucky enough to get a Tanya Burr advent calendar you could switch out ‘day dream’ lip gloss for a different mini one from the calendar.

Next I am moving on to write about ‘Rosy Flush Cheek Palette’. This is a gorgeous bronze and highlight palette as it has a bronzer in ‘beach bronze’, a highlight in ‘oyster shell’ and it also includes a beautiful blush in ‘pretty peony’. I must say that the highlighter is the best highlight I have ever tried as it makes it look like I have glowing skin. Regularly I switch up between my no.7 bronzer and the one in this palette, the no.7 one gives of more of a natural bronze in highlight in one and the one from this palette I use if I want to look a little more tanned and awake as I am so pale so I guess I will reach more for this one in the summer. Now I wish I could go on about the blush but I don’t actually really use it as I have so many blushers and I just forget, the only time I use it is when I’m in a rush and it’s just there when I do my bronze and highlight but other than that I barely ever use it although I probably should as it’s so beautiful.

Now I don’t have any photos of this one as there is no point as it’s an eyebrow palette and there isn’t very much to expect, the colours aren’t going to be absolutely magnificent. But this palette looks absolutely magnificent on the eyebrows! It is called the ‘perfect brows’ palette and it really does give you the image of perfect brows. I did talk about this in my 2015 favourites blog post I’m sure as it’s that good!! It comes with 3 coloured eyebrow powders; a blonde, light brown and dark brown. It also comes with a powder highlight too and also a mini brush and tweezers. It is perfect for travelling as it has every thing you need and I forgot to mention it also has a mirror which makes it even more perfect!

Last palette now, phew I guess you’re getting sick of me tell you about them now but stick around, I have 1 more to show and also some lip glosses. Now I have noticed this palette is actually quite hard to get your hands on as it is ALWAYS out of stock everywhere but I luckily managed to get my hands on it before it was sold out. You may be able to guess that it’s the ‘Hollywood eyes palette’ and if you did guess that then you are right. This palette is flawless, it creates the perfect natural eye look and I guess you could build it up with some other eye shadows to create a more dramatic look. It comes with 4 brown/golden shadows and a mirror as does every palette from the collection. I would recommend this palette to anyone who can get their hands on it.

Phew, that’s me finally done talking about palettes. I actually wonder how many times I’ve typed the word palette in this post! Now it’s time to talk about the lip glosses, finally. Yet again sorry that 3 of these glosses are actually from the advent calendar so you actually can’t get them anymore sadly. But don’t worry I have 2 ones you can buy still and you may be pleased to hear that the limited edition lip gloss called ‘bewitching’ is actually very very similar to ‘berry picking’ which you can still get. I have 3 favourites from this collection and that’s ‘berry picking’ ‘lunch date'(which you can still get) and ‘bewitching’. I don’t actually really like the other 2 on me as they look quite silly on myself but they do smell nice, some actually kind of smell like cookies and others watermelon.

I’ll talk about 2 boring get things you can’t get any more before I go on about the nail polishes. Now these things came from the advent calendar again but I’m sure you probably still can get the eyelashes but I’m not 100% sure so don’t quote me on that. Yeah, so unprofessional of me but I don’t actually have anything to say about the lashes as I don’t wear lashes as I don’t actually know how to put them on and the mirror is just like any other mirror and the nail file is just like any other nail file but both are perfect for traveling as they are perfect size.

Ahh and lastly we are on the very last thing, finally!! I have definitely saved one of the best things till last and that is the brand new nail polishes. All the colours from the collection are beautiful!! Now yet again an apology for guess what..two of the items are actually Christmas polishes, what a surprise!! Tanya nail polishes are super long lasting and easy to take off as well. I know that may not sound good as it sounds like only either one of them can be true but in actual fact they both are 100% true. My favourite colour I own that you can buy is a gorgeous purple/blue shade in ‘fairy godmother’ I constantly have it on my nails if I’m not wearing any of the others.

I forgot to edit the name on these so starting from the front: carnival night, fairy godmother, penguin chic, under the sea and duvet days.

Right now I actually have ‘Duvet Days’ on and have done for a while and it had hardly chipped apart from me picking at it, sounds gross I know. I would recommend this these polishes to anyone who doesn’t have the time to constantly paint their nails but want a pretty manicure. I also just would like to say if you want to get at least one thing from the collection get a nail polish, any nail polish you won’t be disappointed.
